Have you measured you or your peoples' Time on Device (TOD) lately? Studies show that young and mature professionals are spending more and more unproductive time on their devices than ever before, Many companies and business leaders and owners have realized this is a problem that needs to be addressed. Many business professionals are wasting time texting and emailing back and forth with the person in the next cubicle what could easily be  accomplished with a simple conversation. A simple phone call to a customer instead of a crass text or email. This technology is disruptive and in many cases the older and more mature demographic find it insulting when all they get is a text or email instead of a voice conversation. Pre-Covid many businesses had hired me to ween their people off of too much tech usage. People of all ages are slowly but surely losing their verbal communication skills due to too much tech usage. Apparently Covid did what it was supposed to do and increased it. However, smart business owners with good sense still understand what needs to happen.


Digital Detox Mantra:


'Beware of the day that technology will surpass our human interaction which would mean we will have a generation without basic people sills.  This generation which is (now a society) lacking essential and effective social behavior and social intelligence in order to achieve personal societal advancement; a generation / society now suffering from numerous social anxieties without the understanding of essential human sensory perceptions.  This generation -- (now a society) is so indoctrinated, data-harvested, misinformed, non-concerned with their own privacy, (documented and catalogued in every way imaginable) -- that they will have become completely desensitized, unaware and oblivious to their precarious situation.  This generation (now a society) of introverted, self-absorbed, crass, communication-impaired misanthropes, with little to no verbal agility are now subjugated.  Said generation (now a society) are spiraling in a vortex of downward aspirations; left chasing meaningless affirmations from faceless strangers, as well as false accounts ran by the technocrats and algos, designed to maintain endorphins flowing, feeding the human ego, on something the governing bodies coined "social media", (which has NO social value at all, aside from assisting with the folding of socialism into the USA.)  A generation (now a society) so poisoned with electronic microwave frequencies, that the intelligence, mental focus and standards they once had will be damped down to the desired levels of those who control the digital and/or social media platforms (the government)-- these willful useful idiots, mentally poisoned victims -- will have become so indifferent that they won't even care when others who aren't, point this out to them.'

 Closing the Deal: "Thank You Next!"

I mention "Thank You Next" as a tribute and honor to my father. "Thank You Next" was a tagline that people got use to hearing my father say, while he sat with his feet on his desk at the dealership closing deals. He became noted for it. I inherited and acquired many of my talents, people skills, abilities and personality from my father as a very young man. Thank you JKP, but there will be no "Next," as you were the one and only! I wish you were here to see what I have built.


For many salespeople, closing the deal is the hardest part of the sales process. Fear of rejection hinders them from moving forward and asking for the business. Some rejection is to be expected, it just comes with the job.


Learn to love the word 'No' and how to overcome the fear of rejection and when to ask for the business. Selling is not telling, it is a series of well thought out questions that LEAD people to the buying decision. People will close themselves if you let them. The simplicity of selling is often overlooked. 


Master the art of closing the deal.  Learn the buying signs and how to overcome objections. Learn techniques on how to walk your prospect to the finish line.  Brent will share with you different types of closing methodologies and how to know when to use them.
